The focus has been on meeting the needs of people and families by providing innovative programming for children and adults to help them meet challenges now, and offer opportunities for the future. Laurel Civic has grown to serve Sarasota County, emphasizing South County.
Laurel Civic is seeking a passionate, energetic leader as Director of Development who is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing The Association’s annual fundraising plan, which supports the mission. The Director will be responsible for public relations, communications, donor acquisition and development, event planning, grant writing, and general community outreach. The Director of Development will report to the Executive Director or The Board Chair in their absence.
Candidates with a minimum Bachelor’s degree and four years of progressively successful fundraising experience are encouraged to apply. CFRE or ACFRE accreditation is a plus. Experience in donor cultivation, grant writing, diverse funding sources, social media marketing, donor software, and strong communication skills are needed. The starting salary for this position is $80K.
