The Jewish Federation of Sarasota-Manatee is seeking a Chief Development Officer with major gifts and fundraising team management experience, with a passion for the Jewish Community who will build upon its established strengths and further energize the community. The Federation’s mission is to strengthen Jewish life and identity in the community and to provide support for Jewish people in need. The successful candidate will have a unique opportunity to collaborate with leadership to develop organizational strategy and content priorities that would be used to fund and expand Jewish services. The Chief Development Officer will build and supervise a team of fund-raising professionals. They will direct grant and development programs, provide reports, remain up to date on charitable tax law, and advocate for the foundation.
Qualifications: Requires excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; excellent organizational and communication skills; time management and prioritization skills; proficiency in Microsoft databases including Excel and Word and Donor database software. 7 to 10 years of development experience in a non-profit organization, managing volunteers, and staff, is highly desirable. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree, preferably a master’s/CFRE certification. Knowledge of Jewish identity, issues, and challenges is preferred. The salary range is 120 to 130K.
