Save Our Seabirds, Sarasota, Florida seeks an Executive Director as its organization’s principal leader. SOS is a non-profit whose mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release, sick and injured birds. Birds that are unable to be released may be given permanent homes in the educational Wild Bird Learning Center, which is essentially a Living Museum, open to the public every day.
The CEO’s responsibilities include: engaging, leading, and managing the organization in meeting its strategic mission; oversight and active major fundraising; developing and cultivating a community presence; operational & fiscal management; and advancing board relations.
Qualifications should include a minimum of five years of successful management as a non-profit executive, team leader, community relations, business development, sales, and marketing, with a minimum of five years of major direct fundraising.
